Pistons Playoff Tickets: A Return to the NBA Finals?

Detroit has made the playoffs during each of the last four seasons, so it really isn't a question of whether or not Pistons playoff tickets will be available again this season. Rather, the question is -- will the team have what it takes to make a third consecutive appearance in the NBA Finals, especially considering the departure of head coach Larry Brown? The odds look good, considering that they are an experienced team that really shouldn't need much coaching anyway. Center Ben Wallace is still a dominant defensive force, despite his age (31), and many basketball experts expect forward Tayshaun Prince to emerge this season as a real offensive star. Not to mention that they have the talented Richard Hamilton and Chauncey Billups, who in addition to being a big-time threat from beyond the arc just happens to be one of the NBA Playoff leaders in career free-throw percentage (he is 7th at .891). No doubt that Detroit certainly has the potential to be a 60-win team and make a serious run at the NBA Finals in 2005-06.
